 JK security

Hey all,
Trying to get ideas for a little security in the back of my JKU. Warmer weather is coming and I have half doors on the way, and generally want to leave my soft top down.
That being said, I don't want my stuff in the back getting stolen.
I'm thinking about building a box that will go from the back seats to the rear hatch... BUT, I just remembered the "duster" that goes across the entire back of the JK (not secure, but out of sight out of mind).
Now this all being said, I'm not keeping thousands of dollars worth of stuff, just fishing gear, camping gear, gear bags when traveling... that sort of stuff

What about a security system?

Viper aftermarket security in ours, can switch between perimeter only or interior motion sensors. It seems to work well, you can't even peek in the window of ours without the system giving you a little 'piss off' warning chirp.

I'd love to rig up a can of bear spray in my hatch to discharge if the gate is opened. I have a dim view of thieves after they more or less jacked all my xmas money a week before xmas.

I like this idea, but short of that, Tuffy makes a security box.

I've looked long and hard at those tuffy boxes and drawers... buuut I just blew a lot of toy money on new doors and bike stuff, so I'm trying to keep this project on the lower side of the price scale.

You only need to save your stuff once and you will see that it is money well spent. There was one for sale on here for a bit. No idea if it is sold...

I don't keep anything valuable inside my jeep except for my little box of tools and straps, but have always been thinking about a system to put in my jk also.
