I may have to use a bit of duct tape & twine to hold all the bits on!

Dig the switch panel. You said you did aircraft wiring? It looks great. The LED's are a real nice touch. kinda hard to see in the pics, if others didn't notice. above each of the switches are LED's.

Just soiled my linens.

I wanted to take turn the Jeep around to get better access to the driver's side. Easy - tires on - off jack stands - connect battery ... nothing.

After 2hrs of internet & head scratching I found out that I had upset the TIPM by putting a fuse tap in M26 :o

M26 is for the power mirrors. Apparently tapping in there is bad.
Once I pulled the tap - everything was back to normal.

I have named my TIPM : Lytta - Goddess of madness.

... now drinking heavily to calm nerves. ;D

I agree with the above statement ;D
Especially the mess of wires thats behind that thing!
Somone like myself who is OCD when it comes to cable management inside my computers that would make me sick to have to sort and tidy all that up.

Love the look of your switch panel. Did you make that up yourself or have it done somewhere?

I built them both myself.

You can see the basic steps for the upper panel on page 12.

The tricky bit is definitely figuring out how everything would fit together. after that I cut a piece of 1/8" aluminum flat bar to the right size, laid out the holes for the switches and guards, drilled 'em out, epoxied in the guards, painted and wired up the LEDs. Finding the right resistors for the different colors to make sure they aren't too bright or too dim is a total PITA. I got it all noted somewhere if anyone is interested.

3M5200 is the cat's a$$ for sticking aluminum pieces together but it needs room temp and a good 5 days to cure.

Sort of have it back together so more pictures to follow.

Dual Battery set-up:

1) Stripping out the battery tray. You've gotta pull the air cleaner, fuse box, etc ....

2) Pull out the old battery tray and chop off the bit that supports the air cleaner - the chunk on the right. A good time to paint the fuse box mount as it was starting to rust pretty good.
