Hit a moose in Northern NB. Or should I say, he hit me. He tried to cross in front of me, but I was moving so he hit my driver's front tire and Bushwacker flare. Then dragged along the side with his front shoulder.
Only damage was that it smashed the plastic on the marker light in my flare, and pushed in my driver's door.
This is one of those cases where I am thankful we were driving a lifted rig on 37's. A car, or even a stock JK for that matter, he would have come right over the hood and I might not be around to type this today.

wow, glad to hear you're ok. I drove from Bathurst to Moncton twice last week and saw 6 moose along the highway in a span of about 32 hours. they seem to be out a lot lately.

Fawk...http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-co....-mackenzie.html

A 12-year-old girl was killed after a jeep driven by an 11-year-old girl flipped over on a forestry road in northern B.C.

RCMP say a 41-year-old man was supervising the girls when the 1994 Jeep YJ overturned on Causeway Forest Service Road about six kilometres from Mackenzie just before 7 p.m. PT Friday.

Everyone involved was from the local community, which has been hit hard by the incident, Sgt. Syd Lecky, the Mackenzie RCMP Detachment Commander, said in a statement issued on Monday morning.

"The impact on the community and in our elementary and high schools has been significant," said Lecky. "Investigators and RCMP Victim Assistance workers continue to work with the community in providing support to the affected families."

No other details about the incident have been released by police.

no Creepy not across the front , the hood dent and smashed glass depicts driving bumper to bumper and dents are on driver side but jeep rolled off passenger side . watch the first vid posted here , it shows the damage to the silver jeep as its pushed up on a cement pillar in the back and positions of both jeeps as well as medical supplies in front of silver jeep . no possible way he had the brakes on and clutch depressed ! !

I remember my first death wobble, felt like the front end of the Jeep was jumping up and down about 2 feet high. Like one of those low riders, only at 80km/h. Very unmistakable.

Karma Gods were/are good to me! Got Fu<ked out of another set of AT's 2 weeks ago (personal conversation that a lot of NN NSJC members know about, but I won't post public..., but as I always stand behind the phrase that "things happen for a reason") ;)

btw, did I mention I eye fu<k Kijiji every 2 hours...that's probably why :P Saw his post last night and I was the first reply 2 hours afterwards. Requested pics with a Quarter (Queen's head down) on all tires and after getting the pics, gave my word that I'd buy them. Unlike the last experience for the AT's...we both followed through on our word. He de-listed the ad 5 minutes after we spoke on the phone and we met at the Masstown Market this morning at 11:00.

I'm researching dyna-beads and other balancing options now so, as I posted above to Aaron, I'll be G2G within the next 2 weeks to explore more local trails in the very near future. 12k winch and all...

looks from the vid and things i have read that she was on the hood or front of the silver jeep in the pic and the orange one out of control ...... not sure how if brakes are on and clutch depressed as he stated . the orange jeep went up the hood of the silver jeep , dented the hood on the driver side and smashed the windsheild on driver side but rolled off the passenger side crushing her in the process . if you can figure out how that happened ..... ???

Wasn't a specific reply to you, but yeah.

One of the articles said 'the jeep suddenly accellerated'. So Driver hit the gas, or thought he was in reverse.

My interpretation of the stories was that she was standing in front of it and got crushed when it came forward. Not beside, and got flopped on.

It was an accident, that we have all been in a position to happen to us. We practically crawl all over each others rigs when spotting. The shit I do on the trail is 10X worse than what that poor girl was doing. It very easily could have been my buddy's foot slip and peg the gas.

Common activities we take for granted can kill us.

We need to be more aware.

After reading all 3 articles, I still don't really get what happened.

One jeep was climbing onto the tire of another... and then what? The climbing jeep ended up on its side, but not because it tipped over, but because the jeep suddenly accelerated and crashed into another jeep? Thats what I gathered from the comments anyways.

I have personally performed this myself, and aside from the woman being directly under the side of a jeep which was tipping towards her (who would do that?) , I don't know how this could have happened.

Regardless, it is terrible. People really do need to stand back when something potentially dangerous is going on. Winching is a big one for me. Stand the hell back.

Called yesterday to confirm.

I wonder if the Jeep even runs... I left the hood up all winter so it wouldn't turn into shelving.

That's funny Paul! I was talking to them on Friday and was told at the time the "little bus" was still available... ;)

Big bus, not sure I've even seen the little bus.
