So Bill & I bought Repete's Princess Auto Bender. Knowing that it is a notorious tool for kinking pipe, I have remade the adjustable rollers. Used a piece or 3/4" Sch40 pipe for the bolts to slide thru. And as we plan on bending mostly 1" pipe, I used a piece of 1 1/2" pipe cut in half long ways. We have yet to test this, so will have to post some follow up pics with it in use. The other discovery I made, was a neat program that printed out a template for notching pipe. You enter in the diameter, pipe thickness and angle, and it gives you a print out to trace on the pipe. That's one on a 45 degree angle. Also one I cut and welded on a 90 degree angle. Here is a link to the program. www.ozhpv.org.au/shed/tubemiter.htm

neat program. looks like you left the seam in the clamshell 1/2, it will score and hook up on your pipe. should have cut it so there was no seam.

Or you could just smooth the seam off with a grinder.
