I like this build. Say what you will about leafs, they work and work well when done correctly, and with alot less mooving parts than a coparable link setup. Good on ya man for doing something really different!
that being said, not so sure how I feel about the axle flip. Are you going to at least put a sleeve over the joint in the tubing?

It's not the first axle they've done like this... believe me, they've been tested hard. No issues yet, but not something I would recommend to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Bill

I like the idea but I'm a biased YJ owner. True a leaf sprung vehicle doesn't have the flex of a coil sprung vehicle but you'll never lose a leaf spring on the trail...okay maybe you can.
I'll be watching this build. Maybe I'll put leaf springs under my Liberty ;D
