wow, you were right about that being easy, Tracy. too sweet
I do see a problem if it were done on a YJ though, where the e-brake comes from the front. the calipers would have to be swapped side-to-side so the e-brake cable will reach and work.

Brackets came out nice. Still want the new rotors machined to fit the new axles this week?

No hurry for the Rotors, I'm goning to leave the small bolt circle untill I do the front Dodge 1/2 ton front Hub/knuckle swap. Dan I used the Left on the Right and the Right on the Left to put the E-brake Cable on top. My ZJ E-brake cables are about 6" too short making them real tight at full drop so I'm in the prosess of looking for a 42/48" brake cable......found one, MJ's have a 49" cable.

Nice mod Tracy, if you like disk brakes in the rear I had thought about going to disks in the rear but since we put the Rubi d44 w/ disks in Cindy's Jeep we have had a caliper seize twice almost leaving me stranded once...I will stick with my drum brakes in the rear. Jeff

When you swapped to disks did you make any changes to the master cylinder or dist block for the rear line pressure? I like the idea of rear disks. I am opposite of jeff, i hate drum brakes. They always seem to need adjustment, or new pads, or leaking cylinders...

When I origionally installed the Exploder rear diff a few years ago it had disc brakes and I used stock master cylinder with no proportioning valve and the brakes were excellent, actually better. These have 1/2" less of pad surface in width and the same height so I am anticipating maybe a little less brab than before but still better than drum and not as affevted by mud. Jeff If you have new brakes then you won't have those issues, I did order new calipers just to be on the safe side.

Nice combo of parts. I donèt like the washers between the bracket and the backing plate bolt holes. cut a slice piece of tube and weld it to the bracket or something. It looks like a great place to shear the bolts off. bottom pic - is that the angle of the pic, or is the caliper mounted crookedÉ i donèt see the washers there. Was the rotor center machined to fit over the axle bossÉ (please excuse my french accent.)

I machined down the hub on the axle a few weeks ago to match the rotors, he did have the explorer brakes on this axle.

Doesn't matter if you bleed them before you put them in place.

Bleeder is on the bottom because of calipers being swapped from R to L in order to put the E-brake cable on top and not in line with the axle, It would work the other way I just wanted the cable on top also I used a vacuum bleeder and got good pedal. The same amount of washers were used on all 3 mounting points for alignment and being replaced with 3/16 plate utilizing the 4th (bottom) bolt hole tying the assembly together with a beefier base. It need the extra spacing because of the depth of the rotor, older Zuk front Rotors would have been shallower and provided the larger bolt circle I am going for so I may switch to them which will again change my bracket but probably not till July, got way too much to do before Jam and this bum finger is slowing me down.
