im just wondering how many people leave there jeeps topless over night and how safe it acutally is, or what you suggest doing if you have to leave it over nigght without a top, i gotta leave mine topless tonight because i cant lift the hardtop by myself and no one is around, i figure if i got everything out of the glove box and armrest area that it should be okay if i leave them unlocked that way they dont have to break into them to find nothing,

you're gonna have to get to know you neighbors better! i usually have two beer in in my hand when i ask my neighbor......but i am lucky...he is a jeep owner too!!
maybe a tarp or somthing over the dash to keep due and condensate out?
haha unfortunitly where i live i dont really care to get to know my neighbours better! well,i shouldnt say that, as my neighbours seem to be nice people, im just boarder line ghetto! lol, i have a car cover over it right now, and its backed down a driveway and i put another car infront of it, so im thinking i should be good, as where i parked it, there usually a pop up camper, so it kinda looks like that , no alarm, is there any good suggestions for aftermarket alarms?

Had a 2-way viper alarm with a proximity sensor in my old rig - no matter what alarm you go with make sure it has a proximity sensor, otherwise it's useless in a Jeep (i.e. if there is no top or your top gets opened/cut, no proximity sensor = no alarm). The setup I had was pretty sweet actually, if anyone got close it would give a couple warning beeps (you could set the sensitivity), and would go off if someone got inside. The 2-way remote feature is pretty sweet, it tells you if the alarm goes off and which part has gone off (door, hood, prox sensor, etc). Plus don't leave anything in the rig, that's really all you can do...just make sure you set the alarm if you have it haha. The one time I didn't when I owned my rig some punk kids stole the faceplate off my deck and a 6 year old ipod that didn't work lol.
yeah i took everything out of my jeep, im not really too worried, there isnt anything in it worth stealing, they can have the pennies on my dash lol, just moreless worried they get pissed theres nothing and break something for the hell of it!
I think I saw you mention Dartmouth......lots of good and bad areas. All low-rent apt. complex areas are bad. Anywhere around north end, downtown, highfeild, rokia...Cole Harbour is kinda bad for car break-ins too.

It matters little where you live imo. When they tried to steal mine it was in a nice neighboorhood off Kearney Lake. I don't even bother locking the doors anymore. Would rather they don't cut my softtop
