Looking for a cheap or free, 94 and newer chevy S10, regular cab, cab.

It'd be nice to have the doors and interior, but not necessary.

I might have a guy that has a whole slew of old vehicles in his yard, told me he might call the crusher in the new year.

I'll call him in the next few days, I remember he said he had a chevy in the back, pickup, with all good running gear but some of the body was rotten from sitting in an old guys yard.

Well, you may think I'm crazy (if you didn't already), but I'd like to narrow an S10 cab to the point of being a single seater... like the distance from the driver's seat to the driver's door would match the distance to the other door. Basicly you could look out either window, or enter/ exit either door.

From there I'm not sure what I'd do with it. I've got a couple ideas there too. ;)

At the very least it'll be a little fabrication practice project over the winter.

Of course! ;D

I'm gonna be fussy to start and hold off for a reg cab chevy... but I know they're rare. Later I'll consider an extended cab or even a Ranger.

Man, I'd love to find a build thread where someone's done this already. It's much more then just making two cuts and re-welding... well, to make it look good that is.

narrowing a cab is a fairley big job. make sure you take lots of time marking it out and measuring before cutting. It will be a pain to make it look straight if you cut it wrong. if your looking for a winter project you can work on my toyota project.
