Hey Jeff, Alex and I would like to meet you at Timmy's, too. We'll have both trucks. Noticed your reply to Jester above - didn't know XJ's ever came in any form with stock G/T skids. Anyway, it's all the Cherokee is miss'in. So, is it allowed to run one without?? Someone lemme know.

Yes Jim, you can come along without a gas tank skid. You do risk denting/puncturing it, but we don't do extreme trails on the Canada Day Run, its more about being together and having a BBQ. ;D
Some XJ models did come with factory skids, the Up-country package for one.

Club runs are always geared toward stock Jeeps. It may not seem it from the pictures of some runs but thats only good "clean" MUD! It's always a great way to see some people from afar and have some great wheeling. Right now things are pretty dry, but they are calling for rain. That will make it Sooooo much more fun and slippery.

The hooks require brackets for the sub frame. If you have an aftermarket bumper then grap some hooks at Avonport Discount and attach them with some grade 8 bolts. No aftermarket bumper, then post up for Alan Justason. He's the guy to contact for brackets or have a bumper made. Alan can build you anything from mild to wild! His prices are very fair! Look down the road at where you want to be in a years time and it may save you some serious money.
The odd time a gas tank skid plate can be found in the local bone yards. The one out in Canning has not been picked over for Jeep stuff in a while. Walter Stevenson might also have a line on a skid for you. I don't have his contact info.

Alex and I are going up with the TJ and Cherokee. We're in D/T City 'O Lakes. Would like to drive up in company, if it's OK. Give me a shout, would ya?
