just wondering if anyone new where i could get a couple of axle nuts to keep the wheel assembly on. its for a 93 grand cherokke and the dealer wants 35 bucks for one

Are you talking about lug nuts or wheel bearing bolts or the big axle nut?Also, is this the MacLeans?

I've got a dana 30 sitting in the back yard.I'll see if I can get the nuts off it tonight.I think (hope)all front dana 30's have the same nut.---Ken

they do have all the same nut. do not buy this part, there are tons around for nothing.
call apj or i got some too. can't hook up till the weekend tho.

Nuts are on the axle, soaking with penetrating fluid at the moment .Shouldn't be any problem to have them off for the weekend.They're yours for the taking.Does this mean maybe the Grand is getting some TLC?

amazing how every place we went and said axle nuts for 93 grande they said no go to dealer. went to dealer and said $35 each( i don't think i asked for gold ones) thanks for everyones help. ken we had an amazing weekend when you were here look foward to seeing you guys again.

amazing how every place we went and said axle nuts for 93 grande they said no go to dealer. went to dealer and said $35 each( i don't think i asked for gold ones) thanks for everyones help. ken we had an amazing weekend when you were here look foward to seeing you guys again. they are an odd size specialty nut. you didn't get steered wrong, probably the only place to buy new would be the dealer. possibly napa. but used, well, we gots lots. anyone who has broken an axle or junked a unit-bearing d30 will have some.

What you need is the Ingersoll Rand 1/2 Titanium 2135Ti with 1000 ft-lbs of Nut Busting Torque! I have the 3/8 gun as well, absolutely invaluable!
