Update time I know its been a while . but I haven't really had the time lately , to post up the pics The pile O parts I decided that since the front axle was shot , it was cheaper and easier just to swap in a front XJ hp d 30 with 3.55 ( from an 96 auto , This is the original front axle , that was in the MJ ), That I had . The new XJ had the ultra lame LP d 30 and crappy 3.07 gears . The whole front axle was shot , from unit bearings to u joints , gears , and front shocks ,it needed a complete rebuild . Its just a matter of time before I have to replace all the front brakes and calipers . The oil pan was shot , so since it was down , I put in a rear main seal .T he life span on a rear main seal is about 90 - 100 k , and with the OD reading 166 , it was a no brainer Next is the front axle ( HP d30 with 3.55 gears )and the 3 in Rough Country coils A set of Rough Country quick disco's On to the back The crappy 3.07's had to go , I had a set of 3.55 from The FleXJ , they will have a good home in the new DD The 8.25 also needed all new rear brakes I don't need no stinkin rear sway bar ! yoink I also had this from the FleXJ , a little piece of her left All new rear shocks , Pro Comps all the way around ! Of course the upper shock bolts all broke , weld in studs ! I also put in an add O leaf too for a little more height Cherry Bomb ! lol what do ya think , I was gonna get away with out having to do some exhaust werk ? lol I gained 3 in in the front and 4 in in the back of lift . I also put on a set of 30 X 9.5 X 15 good year GSA's I drive it for a few days maybe a week and then ......... Fawk , clutch is gone Me and my pops went at it Started with the centre console and shifter needed to be removed Starter comes out then the trannie Turns out the input bearing and through out bearing are FUBAR , clutch is still like new , but the Pressure plate is done ! Little bearing that were laying inside of the bell housing New clutch is in and everything back to normal There are more pics to come , I have a few more things that I want to do to it . Its off to Stroh tomorrow for a good inside cleaning
