As a family orintated club, if we charge for children we should have a draw for them as well. We do want the whole family to feel involved, and it will keep the kid's intrest,(and maybe prizes to keep them busy as well ) For the people that would like to do something after arriveing back @ the camp site from their trails, can we organize some activities. Jeep 101 @ the camp ground. A nite run. A obstacel course. Let's plan some games, for kids and adult's. Maybe some of the bigger rig's going over large obstacel's for people to watch, or Jeep pull's. A demonstartion on some basic trail fix's. Just some idea's. I would be willing to be trail master on a nite run and assist in any of these thing's. Please let me know if I can help with this in anyway. Da Dogg

There is activity organized every night after supper. Show and shine, turtle race, RTI ramp, blind race, mud pit. Suggestion are welcome and will be taken to the next meeting.

IMO if we have the kids in the drawing, we should have a separate prize pool for them. Though their parents would be thrilled for one of the Jeep parts prizes the kids won't see anything from that. If we were able to pick up a couple of cheapish Jeep remote controls or something like that, the kids would be thrilled. (So would I to be honest )

The rules will have to be clearly written and explained, so there is no problem like last year. But that Kid had a real Jeeper attitude. Mickey

I don't have kids and don't think its entirely fair that they could win tires or a winch after I paid twice as much to attend. grab bags, sure, but not the big draws. (that's the way its set up now anyway tho I think)
Great idea to get some kid oriented stuff like a remote control Jeep or a bunch of dinkies or something.
have a kids' 'big draw' for a wicked remote Jeep!

Honestly there is always enough going on that I haven't been bored at Jam... Seeing new rigs, talking about mods, chatting with people you don't see often etc etc
However, if you are looking for suggestions I will toss out a few. No idea if any of them are feasible..
1. Side by side mud pit challenge?? (I know it has come up before... )
2. Rock crawling challenge... set up a little course on Arockalypse... cones, timed etc It is pretty much on site... could be fun to watch.
3. Fireworks on Friday night... already enough happening Saturday night.

NO individal fire pits, only community ones, also no side by side in the mud pit, to easy for bad things to happen. all other ideas will be discussed amongst the committee..

It's my understanding that the club is kind of advertized as being "non compeditive", so racing in mud or rocks, is probably not gonna happen. Though, there's no one stopping people from taking stop watches to the mud pit.

For those who got the serviced lots...did you get your own fire pit down there? I can't recall if I was actually out of the field at night....or at least I don't remember... ;D
