Been working at the drivetrain for a new chassis. Figured it was time to start a thread since I have made a bit of progess. '91 Blazer TBI 4.3, 700R4, NP231c, from a smashed driver that was on the road. got it out in Mt. Uniacke. 27 spline/5 bolt output to t-case. It is a complete engine with harness and accessories. very oily.

Yes, there will be a Celtic theme with knotwork and zoomorphics on gussets and panels.
Oh, and the axle and wheel package out of the CJ will be donated here. Built Toys and 38.5's.
I'd love some TBI links. Its tough to sort thru all the Chev forums.

Looks like a good starting point... especially having the built toys already.
Are there any plans for the CJ after the axles are out?

Yeah, hand-me-down to my brother Al. But that doesn't mean its going to Cape Breton. He likes coming up here for the organized runs. Its not going up for sale or getting stripped out. I'm taking the Toys and the seats/harness, winch, that's about it. I have Michelins and TSL's for it.
I have lots more pics coming, some very useful Chev Vs Jeep tech....getting back into the swing of things.

Lots of work done this week. Everything is going great. still dirty All 6 busted studs came out. Me and Mike got 'em with welding nuts or washers on the broken ends, let it cool. Then heat the piss out of the manifold (with torch) around the holes and turn out the broken studs. Couldn't believe all 6 came out leaving good threads. Gotta love the rags from PA. If a Chevy is a rat motor...is a 4.3 a mouse? ;D Let the carbon scraping commence. near blocked oil drains coated with 'sludge'. i need some snake oil. after lots of scrubbing.... more to go... I saved this steel shower basin from doing reno's a few years ago....knew it would come in handy! Here's a cleaned part.

Looks good cleaned up. I don't remember my oil pan being that deep, just looks funny in the pic. Look it over good, my replacement engine's oil pan looked good but had a pinhole once I knocked the flaking paint off.

Loving buying Chev parts. so cheap! Really nice gasket set for $138. Crank seals and vavle seals included. Clean and getting ready to install new gaskets and stuff. Pin Pin is helping too! EGR block-aff plate. Timing chain looked pooched. $58 tax in, in stock at Nova Automotive. Everyone should have one of these....seal puller $10. work wicked. Pressing in rear crank seal. Still going great, Mudmagnet has been out in the shop with me every night trying to outscrape me. We got a lot of dirty work done in a short time. Thx for the valve covers in the above pic Rue..much appreciated, mine were horrible. steam cleaned et al.

I remember doing this , yucky messy job . The bronco sat for a few years and the oil sludged ,plugged the pass side drains right off and pumped the oil back threw the pvc into the intake ...smoke show . Looked like a blown up nascar on the 103 hahah
Has to be one of the messiest jobs, i used a gun cleaning kit to clean mine up , steel rod with different size brushes for different bores. CTC should have a cheap set.
