I've been working on other stuff, but did this one dark and stormy night..... Ride height. ;D Thanks for the help Scott. It rolls around really easy. scabbed parts off the links from my old ZJ. Joints are still all good, and I traded some work for some urethane Chevelle bushings which happen to fit inside 1.5" pipe. But not much else for progress, been working on other stuff, and waiting for bender dies.

They are for a Chevelle. I got 'em off a guy who restores cars. Whatever that big brand name urethane company is with a yellow tag, i forget.
Call our local guys and ask for a leaf spring kit or something.

What is the advantage of the van harness?
(I have the original 90 and spare 95 Blazer harness to fool with)

I used the blazer harness and schematics from Mitchell On Demand.Fired up right away and runs fine.

the van harness has very few extra wires and the computer fits under the drivers seat because the harness is so long

Back at 'er! I've given my CJ5 to my little brother so he can wheel with us and have a rig in the Cape now that there are some guys around down there. It needs some work, and I'm pulling the axles. I did a bit of work for Mark L. (the '83 Toyota guy) in trade for some 'running' Toy axles to swing under the CJ5 for Al. I think its pretty important to have a cage doing the stuff we do, so it was best Al took the CJ5 and seats and harnesses, instead of starting from scratch with a new project. And hopefully this will allow enough funds to be avail to buy a trailer. I have no rig! But I have these.......the last big ticket item! Brand hammerin' new. 39"x17 Krawlers.

i don't want to destroy my nice little LJ. it wouldn't keep up anyway. Need light weight and be able to roll without damage.
Nothing is more expensive than trying to keep a hardcore wheeler street-legal. Buy a tow rig and trailer, and you are ahead after a few years.
This is an expensive hobby, it takes a long time to get where you want to be, while holding down a household and.....life.
Very excited to get back into the woods with a new machine this season.
I'm shooting for Jam. 100 day build, starting NOW.
