How does it tow? Long pole should make it a breeze to back up for a short trailer

The little trailer towed awesome it was packed to the lid with food and camping gear plus the 4 36 in tsl's . But a new project is on the horizon so it must move on.
Pm me for serious inquires only on the price and other details. Can be sold with or with out the 35 in km2's

Well I have been using it a bit . I hauled a full load of firewood on it . And then i put it on our scales ( I should have weighed it first empty ) The MJ and Trailer were 2950 kg and the trailer was 940 kg's ( I put 3 pallets on after wards ) so its pretty close to a tonne ( metric ton ) The trailer axle is bang on in the middle . I could lift up the tongue with one finger . The drive home was kinda scary , It was like a snake with a broken back . It swayed really bad and I couldn't break 80 kmh . Next time I have a big load to haul , I will have to put the swamper's on the rack to add tongue weight . Ill move the axle back later , prob about 6 in or so .

How much of the sway was the long rear shackles and flexjoint mounts? I bet that would really put the sway into 'er.
Looks like it carries the weight no prob tho!

Nice drag job!
Guess you need a bigger axle? It looks like its not in the HAZ from the spring perch weld. just broke off in the middle of virgin tube?

I think it broke where the original spring perch was ( it comes with them pre welded on ) If they won't go good for it , I will cut the spindles out and just retube it with some sc 80

The bouncing is more likely to break stuff than the weight of the load. Even the car trailer will leave the ground if you hit a pothole.
