Actually it's dead at the moment, but the rebuild to bring my '75 CJ5 to life again has begun. I bought it 10 years ago, it's guided 8 Jams, many trail runs, been on just about every trail in the Valley (mild to wild), flopped on it's side, taken a beating, and never failed to get me home. It's had a couple patch jobs on the tub, a few sets of tires (started with Mud King 235's, now has 34" LTB's), engine rebuild (304), a T18 swapped in, Detroit in front and Lincoln in the rear, skids, but never any lift. When I got it: When it looked it's best 5 years ago: As it sits now in the shop: What's left of the tub is ready to come off, then I'll strip it down to the bare frame, it needs work too. Not sure what I'm doing for a tub yet, but I have lots of work to do before I need one. I hope to have it ready for the trails again by next summer.

Haven't broke a front joint since 2007 Jam, so I think I'll keep the 30 and 44. Putting 2.5" Rough Country springs in.
I'd like to build a buggy for runs like the Valley Crawl.

Umm, yuck. Little bit of money and a lot of time it will be as good as new. I didn't realize the 72-75 still had the tool box. Any advantage to cutting down Enos' CJ6 frame? Wouldn't be the first tub you built.

It always seemed to look better in pictures than it actually is. I might shorten a TJ tub, if I can get one cheap enough.
It's also been a snow plow for the last few winters too!
