now why did you cut into the frame 2", that will lower the jeep wont it? wouldnt you want the most out of your coils?

If your shocks are too short why not just move up the lower shock mounts and get a little more ground clearance

If your shocks are too short why not just move up the lower shock mounts and get a little more ground clearance I might do it , but not on this axle . I wouldn't be gaining much clearance , the shock mounts don't hang as low as the LCA brackets , Plus longer shock = more travel Got the lowers in , I just did one side at a time , so the axle wouldn't be moving around on me Just have the uppers left to do , then finish the gas tank tuck / skid

If your shocks are too short why not just move up the lower shock mounts and get a little more ground clearance valid point, you could give yourself a couple of inches of usable shock and better clearance on the sides by doing that.

i was just looking at a jk yesterday thinking about there control arms.... how much longer are then than the tj ones? they look to be pretty strong as well. Shop computer FTW ! Now stop buggin me , I have werk to do This would be a good idea for a little more wheelbase, leave the mounts in the stock position.

Nadda, interesting idea though, I am intrigued. Like to use the lowers, then maybe some adjustable uppers? JK of course.
