awesome progress, that floor looks better than new. I have the same little sand blaster at home here, for small stuff. it does a good job if the sand stays dry and you have the air to run it.. I borrow a friend's back yard, though, when I have big jobs to blast, and use his big compressor trailer and his blaster.

Just noticed this thread! Awesome Job Ted, always loved the old FSJ's!!
Gonna do the oil bypass line in the lifter valley while you have it out?
Like the Howell Injection, wish I would went that route instead of the Holley TBI. That being said, the TBI will make that 360 very snappy!!

Good weekend lots accomplished, I tried to assemble the long block last Saturday, epic fail. I discover this, hard to see but it is a crack above the spark plug hole on number 3 So back to the machine shop, they try to sidestep it but in the end come clean and did another head for me, try again. 1st head Both heads installed, prepped for paint Primed and ready Ready for final assembly Installing the PVC splash guard, to the Edelbrock intake Ready to slide into chassis Here we go Installed with tranny and t-case Full frontal accessories Linkage origami, can't believe I remembered how this went together Modified linkage for kickdown and cruse control, to work with the TBI Love the headers Next week I will be installing the wiring and fuel pump.

After a couple of different attempts, this seemed to work for the new fuel pump and filter Tank vent line Then I got a little surprise, when I pulled the sending unit So I have another that is good with the top line cracked, I blasted it in hopes of repair About to braze on the new line Epic failure, couple months ago we purchased larger torches for the shop. Unfortunately my brazing tips don't fit, so I tried to mig it, there was some left over brass from the factory brazing, so it only leaked a lot. So 120 for a new one. Rear wiring harness with adel clamps, originally it was inside the frame rail with all the mud, I like this location better. Fuel pump wiring awaiting completion Exhaust is up next Hopefully these will help keep the notorious header bolts from backing out. Nice Had to cut and rotate left side bank to fit supposedly (bolt on headers) Right side into 3" Ball flange for easy dissemble if need be. Good fit at collector 3" Flowmaster 44 Checking fit Final hangers Soon smoke will be coming from the engine firing, I hope The only thing I am concerned with on the exhaust is the fit is tight, not much give in the system, hope there is enough to not put strain on the headers, although I have used poly engine and tranny mounts. We will see For the brakeline I am using Armor coat with stainless fittings(mostly) And a plug for the Creepy grill, great job man. Next week the body comes off the other chassis. Wohoo!!!!!!!
