Gable ends look great Darren Are you planning to bring your new companion to the Poker Run, or is she staying home to guard the shop?

I built a 2 story 24X24 3 years ago and have been kicking myself since for putting 2 doors in instead of 1. My work bench is on one of the side walls which pretty much reduces the 2 bays to 1 big one, needing a centered single door. I have a wood stove in one back corner and stairs in the other. Which takes away from work space on the back wall. I think I'm going to have to reduce my workbench size and relocate it to the back. Although I littered the side wall with sockets when i built it knowing I was putting the bench there. The extra 4' you have would fix my problem nicely. I kinda wish I went bigger instead of the 2nd floor. Yours is a nice set up. Nice cave man! I built a lean to behind mine for wood storage, but it didn't attach it to the garage. It's freestanding close to the garage. With enough room to stuff some ladders n stuff between them.

The extra 4 ft up front is where the work bench goes along with furnace and roller cabinet and shelving so leaves the side walls for the vehicles.Personally I hate the one door its a pain in the a$$ ,if you do want 2 rigs in there you have to jig them around once inside to keep door big enough to get one out.Because of double doors I have room to open doors all the way on both vehicles when there parked inside and still have room to walk around.I like to have my XJ in there for major repair in one bay and have the other bay to park the DD in to clean, change oil or just park but take out when ever.Very happy with my set up.The stairway is killing space for you but with a space upstairs you have no choice.I like the attic ladder but mine is a storage and spend no time up there.....

Ya i like your set up. I think if i went bigger instead of the 2nd floor it would have been better. However, I do a have a finished 2nd floor that is full of baby stuff now. It'll make a nice cave in a few years. Maybe bigger and a 2nd floor? All I would need then would be a $ tree!
