Steering pump rotation?

I need someone with an xj or TJ to look at which way the pulley on their steering pump is rotating.

I had the kids buggy running this afternoon and noticed the engine was spinning counter clock wise. The way I have the pump set up would also spin that direction so now I'm worried that it will be spinning the wrong direction to work?

Crap. I'm sure this pump won't work then. Guess I have to make a new reverse mount or find a pump that works CC.

Does it have a V-belt or flat serpentine belt? If you could set it up with the flat side of the belt on the pulley using idlers, you would run it backwards to the engine rotation, like a water pump does on a serpentine setup.

If you found a small rubber wheel to mount on the pump, and have it run against the pulley on the engine, the pump would turn opposite to engine rotation.

Or, make a small coupler, mount the pump in front of the engine output, that would turn it in the correct direction. Two small chain sprockets with a double row chain connecting them make a good coupler that allows some misalignment.

Or, some hydraulic gear pumps run CCW, or can be set up to run CCW. One of those would work.

XJ stuff spins opposite to other Jeep stuff, doesn't it? because of the offset rad position?

edit - just the water pump iirc. nevermind.

i belive honda pumps run cc we used on to run plow gear and had to flip the pump around cause it was running backwards
