A dance eh?... well it may be a good idea, but keep in mind there are other people at the campground that are not involved with Jam and they may not appreciate really loud music, just sayin.... that could cause a few other issues as well.... apparently there were a few complaints with the loud tunes that were at Jam this year, who then is to be in charge of making sure when the music is off and at a reasonable time, and not at 2 in the morning?

Dance shouldnt be an issue, thay have a couontry weekend and a blues one I think.
I like the idea of Karokee you would get some laughs and some surprises as well, people could dance if thay wanted combine the 2.
I know Jan would go up and do some rap songs ;D
The groups in seperate area's I think is a good idea.
Not everyone wants to hear music or have their kids see people drinking.
We are a mixed group, let the people decide where thay want to be, forceing the issue may bring some conflics.
I had a great time as usual. Good to see old friends and new jeeprs as well.
Well done by the commitie, I think some different sechedualing of events will be made next year.
Glad i could help and be a part of Jam. ;D

I don't even remotely rap. I like Clutch and Slayer n stuff. lol Perhaps some blistering guitar solo's screetching. hehe
You'll never please everyone with music. Thinking a band will get everyone together is not really true. I would probably avoid it, I'm a snob like that. Its an added expense that might flop. I don't want to pay for some band that I think sucks. no offense.
The Jam participants are getting older, less singles and drinkers, more campers, a lot more babies and little kids. At first we'd all be in tents in the big feild, now its split because a lot of participants need services like power.
the rental units are all over the place too. there are little parties everywhere, its fun to walk around. I don't see an issue, unless the people in the upper feild felt 'alone'.
Moving the unserviced tenting to the low feild might be an option, but the campground may have issues with it. There is room behind the tent. The campground put us up in the top feild for a reason. We'd have to know why and respect their wishes.
Just some thoughts and counterpoints.

The sole reason for the upper field was because we were tearing up the field, however we proved that wrong this year, one of the solution is to park the tow trailer in the upper field and camp below. We need to keep part of the lower field for line ups in the morning. our event is growing and we need more room at this point the upper field is not large enough to hold everybody, the middle field between mud pit and lower field is an option. Overall the camp ground owner are quite happy with us. cheers Luc

If I had one suggestion it would be this. The mud pit should be on Saturday after the runns come in and the prizes should be on Sunday morn say 10 am? After breakfast?
