Rear axle rebuilt. Thanks to all involved. There were chunks off at least one tooth of every gear in the diff.
I have an RC tie rod and stainless steel brake lines to install. Rear adjustable track bar coming. The stock bar with a lift bracket is hitting the gas tank skid.
never again will I piece together a lift. ever. I will buy a complete kit, have it installed and be done with it. what's happening is every change I make, breaks something else and then it costs and costs and costs.

These things dropped the skid about 1/2" maybe 5/8". Just enough to get rid of most of the vibes from the driveshaft. It's totally driveable without self destructing now. Bolts came out easy. On re-install, they were slathered with a secret recipe of Anti-seize, grease and rust check.. ;D I noticed the passenger side front brake line is leaking just slightly at the connection now since installing the stainless lines. These things are totally unforgiving to a flare that isn't perfect. Both sides leaked at the flare...just barely, tiny bit of fluid but enough to have to fix it right. On the other side is the brake feel is much improved! Less mushy pedal. The rubber lines that came off it were likely oem and 10 years old.

wanted to send a big thanks to Andre at APJ's for taking time to look at my jeep this week to troubleshoot a possible problem. I really appreciate your time and advice! I took it there specifically for him to check it out because of his experience troubleshooting weird problems. rear trackbar installed, crappy lift bracket removed.

4" (RC?)rear springs replaced with 3" BDS springs. THANK YOU Garagemahal! Result- NO driveshaft vibes at any speed. Jeep drives like it did before I messed with it. Rear is not pogo-ing around, feels way more stable on the road. Unknown clunking noise coasting to a stop in gear is gone. I couldn't be more happy. So now it's got well used 4" springs in the front with the weight of a heavy winch on them too and 3" springs in back. It sits the way I think it should and drives perfectly for what it is.

It came this -> <- close to having rear top coil buckets relocated to take lift out and make the coils sit straighter. Luckily, Scott is very busy. I saw these 3" coils for sale and thought it would be cheaper and less permanent to try this.
The way it was...there is no way I would have drove a trail like Tia's, it would have flopped over a cliff. It's way more stable now. You can feel the suspension working plush but firm at 100Km/hr. No pogo stick effect, no constant correcting the steering. The different coils sitting side by side looked about 2" inches different. It's squats slightly in the back now. Maybe I'll install the 3" fronts but I like the way it is now...we'll see.
Lesson learned.

Ya it's up in the front a little like a cj. I drove it around all day today, all issues are gone.

Swapped out the vent for a Daystar switch panel... switches on the way. Bought this from Denis... thanks man, works great. Wired direct to battery, grounded to structure in the dash. Box is hidden in console. I will drill the console where the existing hole is and mount the mic connector there. External speaker, been there for a while Coax and 4' antenna from Traction Truck Parts... made in the good ol' USA. Looks ok and works fine.

Thanks Dave. I always wanted one of the Cobra 75 models for the convenience of it. Today... removed rear window for repair at ABC Interiors. Many thanks to Garagemahal for the loan of a spare. I replaced this godforsaken blower motor resistor... skinned knuckle time. from the look of it, it may be getting water there...

how terribly annoying was the install of the new blower resistor? 01/02 and above blower motor resistor is like the pic above.... earlier years are different and more expensive. Mine is an 02. At the dealer, the resistor was around 30$. Annoying is a good word for it. Removing the little light above the passenger's feet makes it much easier....push it aside. Two screws holding the resistor in that you can use a socket on. Having a shorty rachet is good there. Top one from inside the glovebox, so remove that too. I moved a bunch of wiring behind the glovebox to get at the top of the resistor/second screw. Pop the red clip on the resistor and pull it out best you can. Take note of the way it was orientated. However... all annoyance is quickly abated with the satisfaction of turning your fan switch to lower speeds. Scraped knuckles? So what, you've got low speeds on your heater!
