It's "Post Your TJ Rust" Weekend! eh Aaron NN? Scott's Hammer Of Doom (tm) revealed rotten floor on both sides under the mats. Only where the channel is underneath. Driver side is worse than the other. Carpets have been out for a while, and the floor is usually soaked with rust check. Didn't matter. Driver side- Passenger side

2 months ago it looked like a couple pin holes. Quote from "The Hammer"- if you got rust, it's 10x worse than it looks.
TJs now are all going the way of the YJs. Frames, body mounts, floors. Rust never sleeps, man...according to Neil Young and East Coast Jeep owners.

Sure is. Hell of a job.
I'm really disgusted with all the rust in that channel under the floor though. It gets rust checked every year, the amount that goes on it is roughly the same as dipping the whole Jeep in a vat of it.
Anyways, Thanks Scott! One less worry for me.
I just got off the phone with Currie Enterprises. ce-9112m2 on the way to make the front a 3 link. Got a nice deal on a t-shirt and free decals too! ;D ;D

Who undercoats it?

I would say that rust in the "channel" where the body mounts are was already there when I bought it.
it's done by Rust Check every year since. A good friend owns the shop and I am right there when he does it. The Jeep is soaked beyond reason with the stuff, including putting the spray wand inside the holes in that channel and the frame. I was waiting until this was fixed before getting it done this year.

Rotten oil pan. Screwdriver through the side- 145,000Km and the oil pickup is still nice. Well that's about the only good news. broken bolts, broken easy-out, bent seal.... yeah Len, I was preparing to look at my left foot but the storm didn't materialize. Beer was served and out the bolt came. Everything is solved with Olands.

transfer case linkage drop bracket installed. THANKS DAVE! Does that look right? It made no difference... there is an adjuster on the rod I am going to try. The angle the linkage is on looks much better anyways. Rear main seal, new to me oil pan, gasket. shitty job. lots to take apart. Big thank you to Garagemahal. I guess I need a new front pinion seal and maybe a yolk if it's scored. Not apart to see yet. No big deal. Just starting to leak. Centering ball and u-joints are all good on the front driveshaft so that's a plus. I tore the plastic covers out of the rear wheel wells and painted in there a bit. Drove it home, works great. Will be adjusting the linkage to get 4-low working tomorrow./

Rotten oil pan. Screwdriver through the side- That's the problem with these modern Jeeps, they don't leak properly and self undercoat

That's the problem with these modern Jeeps, they don't leak properly and self undercoat Self undercoating... maybe they lost the patent for that technology? haha I did clean up the starter, Enos. With all the cold and wet to come next week, hoping it will not freeze up like it before. Thanks for that advice.
