OK so I cut 6" out of the fan shroud and then epoxyed the mounting tabs back on the side I hacked off. I roughed up the area with 50 grit and grooved the edges a little to give the epoxy something to bit onto. Once back together I lathered the epoxy on both sides as well. Seems to fill the rad out perfectly. This should keep it cool while out on the trails. With this electric fan I had very little trimming to do to get the original shroud fitted and bolted back up to the rad as well. I got the rad installed back into the jeep with the fan and shroud attached. Now I will be picking up some weatherpack connectors to hook it up later tonight. Aaron

Well my skid plate for the flatbelly hasn't been completed yet so on to other things. Got a used hurst short throw shifter for an AX15 from Alan J and it needed some modifications for it to work on my AX5 tranny. Had to remove the handle and then rotate the shfter 180 degrees then elongate the front 2 mounting holes for the shifter to fit the original bolt pattern on the tranny. Also had to reinstall the handle on the other side so it would then be facing the right direction. Put a coat of black to the handle and a hurst T-Handle on top. Aaron Did you try it in reverse yet I tried the same shifter in mine , moded it the same and couldn't get reverse to work

I have been trying reverse, feels like it goes but can't say for sure until I get it mobile again.

Today I finally got my CNC cut flat belly skid. Turned out great and bolted right up. Had to elongate one hole a little to make it fit but that was my bad measuring that caused this. 1/4" plate with the rear bent up 2" at a 45 degree angle. Being a newbie to helping create the AutoCAD file for the CNC to use there are a couple of things I would do to improve the overall design. 1. Radius all the corners 2. Have all the parts in/on the jeep first so the test fit is more complete. For instance I didn't have the front driveshaft installed and said I didn't think it would hit. It is bolted up now and at full droop it hits just a bit. Need to clearance the plate to accomodate this. Also the exhaust out to the back that needs to go over the skids 2" bent up rear lip of the skid. May need to clearance for this yet. Bolted up for test fitting... I placed a 1/4" piece of puckboard between the frame and the skid for clearance of the crossmember I also had a piece of 1/4" plate sheared and bent up on the front for the start of an oilpan skid. I still need to cut 5" of of the plate so I can overlap it and weld it to the top of the oilpan skid. From there it will overlap to the flat belly skid and have 3 bolts olding it on. I will also have 2 tabs off the bell housing connecting to the oilpan skid. Tomorrow I am starting the gastank lift by hacking up my Rugged Ridge gas tank skid to shorten it by 1" for more clearance. I went to work on the gas tank lift this weekend but the trigger on the plasma cutter wasn't working and I had to skip this and work on something else. I cut the oilpan skid to the proper length and then welded the overlap piece to bolt into the flat belly. I have the holes drilled and I am now working on the brackets to attach it to the tranny bellhousing. More to come... I also took some time to fab up new upper coil buckets/mounts so I can correct the "C" like arch that correcting my poinion angle created with the coils. Can't seem to find my before pic that I took but it was bad. Had so much force on the coil that if it came out of the lower mount it would have probably killed someone. lol Here is what I came up with. I had a 7" washer cut out and I welded a 1.5" x .125" flatbar around the washer. I then had some 2.5" pipe welded to the inside of the washer for an extension for my bumpstops. I unbolted the old bumpstop mount and it fin perfectly inside the 2.5" pipe, so I welded it all together. I then took some more flatbar and welded it to the frame after I found a better mounting location for the coil buckets. Aaron

you're beating me to all the cool stuff!!! haha interested to see how far you can move the side with the trackbar mount. Also interested to see if this lifts the rear end or lowers it. I am hoping lowers it in my case.

I will take a pic of the other side Brandon, but I moved it tight to the rear track bar bracket. Lots of room for access to the bolt without interferance. Also I made the upper buckets 7" across the top to match the original ones, but you could go smaller to create more room as well.

is it possible to remove the upper coil buckets without ruining them? I'd like to reuse mine.
