All Trail Guides will receive free entrance, for one, to the Jamboree as well as free camping accommodations and food. Trail Guide passengers must pay their own way but at a discounted rate.
All Trail Guides are required to attend the Jamboree Trail Guide 101, complete 2 pre-runs of their assigned trail, attend the Thursday night Jamboree Trail Guide meeting and support Jamboree activities as required.

A Trail Guide needs to:
• Be aware of and promote safety on the Trail
• Be assertive and take charge, it’s your job, be heard from more than 3 feet away.
• Know how to appropriately use a CB radio (language, being a tour guide, etc.)
• Have a sense of humour and be able to laugh at yourself too!
• Be a good “Tread Lightly” example to participants
• Be able to keep the mood light and pleasant on the Trail
• Ensure new participants to the Jeep Jamboree are coached and mentored on their trail. Care must be taken at the trailhead to inquire who is new to the off-road experience and place them in the appropriate spots in the line.
• Take extra care and time with new participants ensuring they understand how to overcome certain obstacles with your guidance.
• Be comfortable with the workload and leadership or you should not be Trail Guide.
• Be proactive and anticipate any problems whenever possible, especially with inexperienced Jeepers.
