Little update Started last weekend , had my pops and my son Jake over to help out , Started the 4.88 gears While I pulled the Rubi 44 from the little army jeep When the d30 4.88's were done , the axle was dropped from the LJ Cam bolts were seized and had to be cut off Rear was apart for the open carrier / 4,88 swap The clutch's were fawked , the retaining clip let go and runaround with the carrier and ground down the bearing cap I spent most of the week making sure the army jeep was all back together and fixed up so I can sell it Rubi 44 lined up to go into the LJ Friggin exhaust is loose , oil pan is damn near rotted off Trans mount is gone , skid is off All this crap has to go when the body lift / tummy tuck is done Frig ! I'll be welding here in 2 years Looks bad I pulled the rear wheel well liners , found this hiding in the corner , I might have to put the liner back in Knew this was bad when I bought it , will fix before I drop the body down Crap ! nerf bars are welded to the body ( they are going really soon ) Shitty exhaust work Moved the front flex lines down on the frame D44 is in , just got the steering linkage to do , replacing the trac bar and drag link that came with it Rear 44 carrier and ring gear ( gears have been set up ) Pin will not come out with the ring gear installed , I have to remove the ring gear to install the new Lockright . Its waiting on the bench for it to show up and be installed You can see in this pic the blue paint used to check tooth pattern All caught up now

It was a late night , but its ready to go wheeling in the morning ( thanks Al and Jan !! )
It really needs 500 kms of break in driving first , it really does , I am going against every think I believe in here , but phuck it , I am going jeeping !!! first time in the new rig !
( i'll prob have to buy new rear gears after this weekend )

Not sure , maybe for tooth clearance of the spiders ? new pin came with my lockright ( first time I got one with it )
