Ive got a Power Fist 120 welder from PA, say want ya want but for the last 5 years has worked flawlessly, considering the cost of it its a good welder for me, until last night. It will not stop feeding wire? Took the gun apart and even disconnected the wires at the gun end so I know its not the gun, checked the cable, no burns in the casing. Googled it and most seem issues in this area are circuit board or a relay. I could replace the relay if it was cheap but not sure where it is on the circuit board. If I post a pic of it could someone point out the relay to me? For now im just gonna run a on/off toggle switch to the gun so I can finish this project im in the middle of.

Trace the wires from the drive motor back, I'd expect one to lead straight to the relay. Do you have a wiring diagram?

No I dont have a wiring diagram. I just went out and now its working normal so something must have got hot and stopped working. I was only using it for about half an hour thou and the fan is running.

Most likely overheated. I ran into the same problem with my Lincoln after about six years. They have an over-ride that stops wire feed when they get hot. Lincoln told me, as they get older, it takes less welding to for the machine to reach the level of heat required to shut it down.
It has happened to me twice now in a few months, wait about half an hour works fine again. I was welding 1/4" plate at the time, more than what a 110 is intended for anyway.

Olddog's won't STOP feeding wire. the opposite of your problem.
Yeah - probably stuck trigger relay in the machine.

I'd do a continuity check on the wires coming from trigger. trigger might be stuck on.

I took the trigger apart so the wires were not even in it and it still continues to feed. The welder sat over night, worked perfect in the morning for about an hour then started feeding wire again. Thinking it was overheating I left the welder on the entire hour of use but it likely only welded for 15 minutes, odd cause there is no way it got hot, it was just the fan running.
