I have a build thread on the Backcountry forum, but figured I might as well have it here too. Here it is, not too long after we got it. It was all shiny, no scratches, dents or rust. This was around 4 years ago. One of the first things I did was to Plasti-Dip the emblems as they looked pretty bad. I also Plasti-Dipped the fuel door, and since I had it, put a Monster sticker on it. The next thing I did was get tires for it. For some reason, the almost bald all seasons on it didn't fare too well in the mud. Looked a little more like a Jeep should. After that, I also Plasti-Dipped the rims as I'm not really a fan of chrome. And I also installed my 2" lift. I also thought I should install a CB, and my parents happened to have an old (verrrrrry old) one that they gave me. I got tired of the tires rubbing on the front bumper, so I gave it a trim.

I bought a 24" light bar off of eBay. No pics of the install as it was starting to get dark when I started to do it. I'm really happy with how bright it is! It doesn't have crazy throw, but does a great job lighting up in front of you. It was really hard trying to take half decent pics with a phone, the difference is quite a bit more than what the pics show. Here's just low beams. Low and light bar. Just high beams. High and light bar. I mounted it back a bit so I wouldn't get any glare on the windshield, or hood. Only a tiny bit of light lands on the hood, and I can't see it sitting in the Jeep. Here's how it looks mounted, now that I had a chance to clean up the wiring some.

I used Plasti-dip on the front grill, and used wing-walk paint on the bumpers, and plastic on the doors. Also took off my mangled steering damper.

I cut the wheel wells to eventually allow for bigger tires. Here's a pile of dirt that came out of the drivers side plastic rocker cover. No wonders it's rusted! Here it is with the lines drawn on. The relief cuts made. And basically done. I need to fix the rust on the fender, and trim the plastic liner. Here's the front finished. The back before cutting. After cutting. These show how much was trimmed. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me. The next thing will be to have the rockers cut out, and new metal welded in.

I bought and installed a Viair setup. Installed my aux backup lights. I just drilled the holes for the mounting bolts, added some silicone (meant to grab the black tube), and tightened them down. They have room to spare too when the hatch is open. I haven't ran the wires yet, but I will be running them through the big grommet.

This weekend I pulled the leather seats out of the Limited that I bought for parts, and installed and wired those. I also swapped over a bunch of other stuff.
Front drive shaft Gauge cluster (white gauges instead of black) Auto headlight stalk Light sensor for auto headlights Overhead console (this one has garage door opener buttons) Heated seat switches Auto dimming rearview mirror
I still need to pull the trans (whole reason for buying it), though it doesn't look like it's going to be much fun to pull.

Just last week. I can't wait to get the starter and transmission in so I can finally test them out!
