NSJC AGM November 19th, 2016

Well, the 2016 wheeling season is coming to a end, and once again we are going to be holding our 2016 AGM here in Halifax. As in years past, we will be doing a potluck evening. For those coming to join us, this means you also get to bring your favorite dish to share. It always turns out to be a great feed for all and if you plan on joining us on this evening, please post up what you will be bringing so we all don't turn up with the same thing. The club will be covering all cost in regards to plates, cups, pop, water, and napkins.

For those of you that have not been to a NSJC AGM before we do the following.
Eat all the great food to start.

Begin the meeting, which will consist of the following.

Look at the year in review
Financials
Jamboree Financials
Awards
Elections
Coming year
Question period for members

The positions up for election this year are as follows.

President, Shaun Hill...reoffering
Treasurer, Whitney Slauenwhite... reoffering
Trail Master 1, Ben... NOT REOFFERING
Sponsorship Coordinator, OPEN POSTION
Steering Committee, OPEN POSTION

If anyone is interested in any of the above positions, you must first be nominated, then there must be a second, and then that person must accept the nomination for that position. Nominations can only be done by currently paid members for the 2016 season of the Halifax chapter. Anyone nominated must also be a paid member of the NSJC for 2016

LOCATION for the AGM will be the same as last year thanks to Donnie.

I would also like to add that this is an open meeting to all other chapters, potential members of all chapters, and you all are more than welcome to join us for our AGM..

I've noticed that a position is opening up in the nsjc committee that I would like to apply for. I haven't been around in years but still I keep an eye (lurking) on here to see what is new and exciting. I've been to every jeep jamboree since 96 and also a jeep jamboree hall of fame member, I've owned at least 30 jeeps and have known to even leave one or two on Johns Farm. Now I guess I need to be nominated by someone who thinks I could do the job and look after the nsjc interests. This position is the trail master position. I know a lot of the club does not know me but I think there might be one or two old timers that might. So here is what I'm am asking...please nominate me...lol. Thank you

I heard some cool kids were getting back into jeeping so I went out last week and bought one. Then some 35's found there way into the back of my truck. Damn obsession..
I would like to nominate Craig Bennett for trail master. Will change pic when I get a chance.. I see Enos beat me to it so I will second then if enos's is used as the initial nomination. Whatever works..

I'll stand behind Craig too. Would be great to have him as a TM.

He has an absurd amount of Jeep specific mechanical knowledge from years as a Jeep enthusiast and his time at APJ, plus he has been exploring the woods of NS for 20 years in Jeeps. He never really left our club in spirit, but life and the oilpatch happened. He's one of the guys who got this club off the ground, so its pretty cool to see him have the time to contribute again.

Couldn't ask for a better candidate.
