I've been told that perhaps your Jeep Club may be able to help me. My 20-year old son is in daily radiation treatment for brain cancer. Final week of 5 this week so he's feeling pretty crappy now. He normally is transported by a scheme run by MRI for cancer patients with low income and goes by taxi into the Dickson Clinic and returns home the same way. We live in Beaver Bank.
With tomorrow's storm coming, I'm terrified that the cabs will be pulled off the roads - I run a daycare from home so I am not used to driving in the snow and only have a small Accent. Even if no children show up tomorrow, I'm not sure if I will make it through the weather in such a small car for his 10am appointment or back again after his 45 mins radiation session.
I have been informed that you have a scheme to transport essential service personnel in inclement weather. I wondered under the circumstances if you'd consider extended that assistance to us?
Thank you for your consideration of this request. (I also sent a direct message to the Halifax Chapter President).

We have transport arranged. Thanks anyway. Thank goodness for great communities.
