To the members of the NSJC
I will apologize for the length of time that it had taken for my response, work schedule has been heavy and i am limited to how much i can respond while at work.
That said, i have spent a lot of my off time talking with members about the clubs state. As a lot of you, i am looking at it from an outside perspective and with limited knowledge on what's actually going on. We are all getting pieces of info from multiple people and trying to put them all together to make our own opinions on what is happening. After meeting with several member I started to consider that a vote of non-confidence may be the only way to fix the situation.
I have spent many hour on the phone and meeting with members in person to get as many thoughts and concerns and brought all the information back to John Cranfield and Andre Simons, both who are founding members, Trail Masters for life and on the steering committee. I also consulted with Bob Shea, Mickey, Janice Mackenzie and Suzanne Horner, all of who are long standing members with the club, for extra guidance as well. In my talks with John and Andre it was decided that other options should be looked at and only as an absolute last resort should the vote of non confidence be called by the steering committee. At this point i undertook some lengthy conversations with Dean and Jessica and have decided to allow the continuation of the nomination process as it has been started. I will be watching over the electoral process very carefully to insure that everything goes properly and democratically (as per my conversation with John Cranfield)
In the end, i am hoping this will make the club stronger and more united, i do understand that not everyone will agree with this decision and it is your right not to agree and please feel free to voice your opinion in a proper and diplomatic manor. Feel free to msg me your concerns but all i ask is you have some patience with my responding, as i stated earlier i do have a heavy work schedule for the next bit but i will respond.
Folks, i am not as well articulated as by example as Dean is with my writing, i do like to keep it short and to the point, i do hope i have addressed your concerns and again, please msg me anytime
thank you
Jason Burke
