Slashed the sidewall on one, so I'm running my worn out spare for now.
May look at a full set if need be but I'd like to get 1 used tire.

Good to see you back at it Rob Slowly easing back into it. Picked up what I call my luxury beater lol. 05 Hemi WK. Small lift and 32s will get me anywhere I want to be for now.

I've been out of the jeep game for awhile now since I bought a house, and when I finally bought another one, I come back here to find it dead...
Its a shame really. It used to be so active the mods had a hard time keeping things tame. Now... crickets lol.

I have some stock 17" JK aluminums, one is bent and the others are scratched up. In other words, perfect for what your looking for. Bring $25 and you get your pick of the 3. I'm in Elmsdale. Now we're talking. Pm sent.

It is a limited, but 32's are going on it, so the tire would be no good to me. I should be able to get just a rim for less than that. Thanks though.
BTW, nice looking jeep, mirror of what mine is heading towards. I'm interested in how you made the rails. Are they rocker replacements?

I'm looking for a 17" rim to fit my 05 grand. This is for a spare (which I already have the tire for), so I don't care if it is steel or aluminum, or scuffed ect.
Let me know.

PM'd back. It is probably one of the easiest engine swaps you can do if you have a complete parts YJ. Even though I went through wiring diagrams, I could not get the body harness to play nice with the new engine harness. I eventually swapped ALL wiring over, and life was good. You will also need to swap the fuel tank, or put an in-line pump. (I use an XJ fuel pump, they are plentiful and have no issues running outside of a tank.)
Good luck. You won't regret ditching the carb.

That was great, I loved it. Makes me wish my windshield hinges weren't seized solid, lol.

Snowing like a son-of-a-gun out at the airport here. At first I thought it was just blowing around, but it is really building up. There's talk of putting our guys at work in hotels for the night. Might take em up on it since I have to work tomorrow anyways.

I would be looking into your engine light again. Since it is already on, you cannot tell if you get any additional codes. Read it again, and I'm willing to bet you now have O2 sensor issues. Depending on the sensor, it will throw you jeep into a default limp mode, and greatly affect your gas mileage. I'm unsure what else would give you such a big hit, so start there.

Thats about 3x the price of coated steel lines, so it needs to be 1/3 or less the effort to be worth it, lol. So do the regular steel fittings work with this copper/nickel line?

Very cool idea for side pulls and whatnot. However, I wonder about longevity. You have heavy power cables moving and twisting all the time, and no doubt the bearing the winch is mounted on would be prone to silt and mud. Still, I like it!

It is too bad. YJ's are a dying breed anyways. Not old enough (or pretty enough) for people to consider a classic, but not new enough to find one in very good shape. Yours was the only other YJ I've known to be the original "Islander Yellow", other than mine. It has been some years since mine has been that colour, but it will be again in the future.
I'll have a dig for pictures. I know I have a few, but they my just be trail pictures, and not action pictures.

Looks good like that. I'd just do a bit of trimming, not a fan of body lifts. If you are re-doing the body mounts, like the actual steel mounts on the frame, you can weld them on higher. You'll still need a couple spacers made for under the grill and the rear crossmember, etc. I do agree with you to a point. 3" body lifts are silly looking. They always are, and always will be. However, an extra inch will help with clearances, and make the future CPS sensor replacement, that much easier. If you are replacing the rubber mounts anyways, I'd go for the 1"ish lift, and then with a little trimming, you will have lots of tire clearance. Rob D
