The thing has been repainted. SE's never came factory with painted fender flares...strike one. The hinges on the rear door are painted; they should be black--strike two. The hood is lookin' a little wonkie there.--strike three--you're out! Who ever buys it bring a buddy to look it over!

Excerpts from the description: Rebuilt title, recovered from a Repo, thinks it might have once been stolen, but they know its never seen salt or been off-road. Sounds like a good deal to buy untested off e-bay.

How could 6500 be a bad deal? There's 10-12 year old YJ's on here for sale for that much or more. Even if you had to put a couple thousand in it it's still a good price. If somethings wrong with it, say the transfer case is bad, what would be worse, changing the transfer case on your 92 YJ that you bought for 6500, or your 02 TJ that you bought for 6500? Unless it dogtracks because the frame is 2 or 3 inches out, what can't be fixed?

I'm not saying its a bad deal, if you could get it for that after taking it for a test drive and having APJ check it out for you, but buying it sight unseen off Ebay, that's a completely different story.

I suggest to anyone wait until the last hour or even less to bid if you are going to.. By bidding early you only jack up the price so it will cost more in the end.

Anything that seems too good to be true usually is too good to be true. Looking colsely you will notice how the fenders and hood don't seem to line up quite right.....and if the seller seems to know little about the history of the Jeep, he should at least admit to painting it.......word to the wise.

It's got TJ decals on it. If it was American it would say Wrangler. Leads me to believe it was painted in Canada.
