I put an AMC360 in my CJ7 years ago. It had gobs of power vs. the 258 but the axles didn't care for it...

the 360 is so underpowered for a small block.... i would bet the 4l has more power, defitnally more torque... a 350 on the other hand.... that'd be nice in a jeep

is/was 195HP/295torque. Keep in mind a 25 year old un-cared for motor will lose some energy

defitnally, any motor that old will never push the smae amount of power it did, not even close..... makes me wounder if my tow rig came with 135 hp and 270ft lb from the factory and its now at 510 000 km's and 18years old what does it have now ;D just enough to pull a zuki.....lol.... in the process of doing dual elec fans and ram air intake.... hopfully give me decent power at 80km's/h pulling a trailer
