Well it was nice out today, so i decided to start cutting, striped out the interior, and started hacking, the 1/4s were only atached in 2 spots on each side, other than the 100lbs of factory seam sealer!!!! cut most of it out with a grinder and a cut off wheel, the just took the air hammer to the spot welds then ground it down, i got maybe 3 hours in to it so far. started with: cut out :

looks like you have something solid to work with there,

Ahh, the smell of burning factory seam sealer. Nice job, believe it or not I've seen worse! ;D

lol yea i find the "frame" is kinda flimsy once i took the floor off, i was almost thinkin of running plate to box it in!? but yea its not in bad shape.

i cant remember how much the pan from the factory is, i might end up making one outta 18g sheat, so i wont feel bad about putting my "cargo cage" in it!

i think i am going to drop the skid and put new mounting bolts in the frame, just cuse i can get to them now, and looks like someone gooned them up before!

The panel from the dealer is a deal, probably cost you almost as much for the 18 gage, and then you still have to make it into a floor.

4 x 8 for $51 tax in delivered....... whats that panel cost? 4 x 8 20g was $30 something

yea, just need to get them for the newer xj's tho, they are cheaper, i cant remember what the price is on them, i dont think i can get them from Napa, BUT i am going to try!
