Your stock carrier can be made to fit I do believe. Just need some spacers to clear the light.

you souldn't use a smaler tire as a spare, you risk dammaging your differantial, a smaller spare is useless always put same size tire on a 4x4

Deb, Agreed that you should try to get a 33 spare, but if all you find is a 31 you'll be OK for the interim. Just use it as a "spare" to get you out of the woods, and then get a 33 back on. Slippage and airing down can compensate for minimal differences. You're even ok driving on hard surfaces for a ways (2wd) - no different than space saver spares on cars. This is all until you put a locker in, then the rules change Yes, your current spare will fit on the tire carrier, however the extra leverage with the backspacing you have on your 33's will be hard on the hinges.
