Prefer free, of course, or very cheap!
Just looking for the front half so I don't need a complete working case.

Shhhhhhhh! LOL
I had started my own version of the double on a couple of different occasions but never finished it. Then I saw the mad rooster one and like it better than my version so I re-gained interest in building it.
HardKor. Let me know. Holes can be fixed. And with luck it may be in a part that has to be cut off anyway.
Thanks.

i've started one as well, rico. looks pretty easy.
i got the box cut up and bought a mill to bore the hole for the adapterplate. ;D
look on the bc4x4 site, there is an alternate way to make a mid-shaft other that cutting splines. you can take the input of the rear case and weld 1/2 a mainshaft into it. little bit of lathe work to get a slight press fit.
you assemble the rear case with the new input - which is now also the main shaft for the red. box.
just something to look into. the article is one from rob bryce a long time ago.
i'm not sure if i'm going to do it this way, or make a spud shaft. i'll have to buy a dividing head if i make a spud.

I'm actually almost done mine. I'll take some pics when I got teh chance. I clocked the the 231 flat(as best as possible) and also clocked the D300. I'm in the process of deciding what to do to get the mid shaft. I know a guy here who could probably cut and respline the stock main shaft, I just need to get tranny shaft of something with the proper splines for him to follow.
Unless one of you guys can do it? I thought Allan had already done one.. basically the reduction box is now bolted to the YJ and it's a perfect fit.
