I'm on the hunt for a Transfer case for 91 YJ 4cyl manual. (Actually the motor is a 94, if that makes a difference) Dropped a drive shaft last night on highway and luckily, I think that is all I broke. Please send me an email at david.carrigan@sobeys.com as I will need this ASAP. Guess that was the vibration I was feeling at high speed and sometimes around town. Scared the Bjebus out of me. What a BANG.

That's just what you need Dave. Price isn't bad either.

Yup. The rear one. Vibration started and it felt like dirt road vibes but a bit heavier. I said, That is a new sound..." and wham. Felt like the whole transmission just dropped or like I was towing a steel ibeam underneath. Put the clutch in immediately and coasted to stop. Banging stopped once I put clutch in, which might of saved me from more damage than necessary. Good thing I made the choice to coast and try to give it her.

This is a good lesson for ppl to check there u-joints once in a while to see if there's any play or looseness. Vibrations are also a good indicator of a bad u-joint(s).
