...but not all Jeeps are complete gas guzzlers either. This is a good point, I hear of a lot of jeep owners complain about gas mileage, and sometimes end up selling them... Do we have a list somewhere on the site with different models and their mpg? Might be some good info for someone looking to buy.

Jeeps suck gas. They all do. You lose all right to piss and moan about gas mileage when you drive any vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick that has been lifted up to get as much of the undercarriage as possible into the airflow.
The trade-off for all this mud and rock filled hours of enjoyment is poor gas mileage. Get over it.
You want gas mileage? Buy a civic.
John also makes a very valid point about the intitial buy in.

If I had the cash, I wouldn't mind getting a Jeep. But I just can't possibly buy a good condition one, the cost is too much for me right at this point. If I can't find a good Suzuki in the next while, I might just use the car I have right now, until after I graduate and get a full time job.

That sounds like a fine idea. You will love the Jeep when you finally get it, but be prepared for one of the most expensive hobbies there are.

should have bought this one from www.thehawkroad.com I got it for $200 and it was almost a shame to strip it, only needed a patch in the drivers floor to pass MVI . Pick up a Bargain Hunter, if you can`t find one in there then it`s not meant to be ,lol
