slow down , its supposed to take longer than that!! lol looks cool so far. i like the door lines. the square box crossmembers are link mounts, or a jig? The old one took so long to finish it rusted from the inside out!!! The HSS cross members are both support and a nice big easy spot to mount the links to. The PA pipe kinker doesn't give the results I was looking for so changed my design to work within the limits of the gear. I was hoping the plasma I ordered with the group buy would have arrived sooner but could not wait any longer and cut all the copes with a mini grinder. I've kinda decided what the buggy will look like now that the drive train is in. I have to shorten the grill as it looks too tall now that is narrowed. Is it still a jeep with a jeep grill and 2 jeep t-cases? ;D ;D Have not spent as much time lately working in the buggy. But after seeing Rue's great progress I figured I would share as well. Nice and skinny! But ended up waaaaaay longer than I originally started. Had planned on only a 2 seater with the rad in back. Decided to make it a 4 seater and put the rad back up front. Did not want hot fluids near my kids back there. The way it sits right now is about 12'-5 tip to tip. The wheelbase will be the same as before at 109 inches. Still have to cut the grill to fit. And lots of welding left too!

Finally got the axles under the chassis. I had forgotten how heavy the damn things are!!! I wish this was the final stance but once the links are on it "should" sit about 6 inches taller. Starting to get crowded in there!

I have not done any work on the buggy for a couple weeks. Made some parts but didn't install them. But I had to work on my wife's car so I set the ride height and welded in some scrap pipe to hold it up and pushed the buggy out side. Was good to get an overall view of the chassis. Kinda hard to see everything in a small shop. NOW I can see all those little mistakes clearer. I knew the top part of the cage was a bit out of square but working later at night after the kids went to bed and being tired... lets just say quality control went out the window and "fawk it close enough" ruled the nights...! Now I got to fix things.... Front view Back view And me posing with it to give an idea at how tall it is. I'm 6'-1 tall. Seems short and tall now that it is out of the shop. Has 109 inch wheelbase. Top view. Have to put the boat sides on and lots of other stuff. Long way to go....

Lookin good!! What's your belly height? Rue Right now its 20 inches. I'm still trying to decide how much I want to cut the uprights to the cage to straighten it. I'm starting to call it "gumby" instead of buggy!

jeez, looks pretty impressive to me.
the station wagon back to leave room for rear seats is going to make it look taller than a 2 seater with rear stringers on a 45 going down.
where is the crooked? passside front?

You can't really notice it from the front. But the "B" pillars are not at the same angle. The pass side is tipped in about 3/4" more than the drivers. However by the time you project the rear top tubes out to tie into the back it becomes VERY noticeable. I'll take pictures and post later. Too dark out right now.
