Generally it is an all or nothing event.
Harsh as it sounds it is too hard to enforce and manage when people are showing up as well as putting the food requirements out of balance.
More meals Sat then Fri... that sort of thing.
Things could change, but it's always been one price regardless of two or one day attendance.

A few of us got into "trouble" by starting our own to stay warm.

Are we running posters, flyer's or other advertisements this year?? I still have 10 posters from 2007 and was thinking that I could just white out the date and add the new date...it will still look professional and I can put a couple in Moncton, Parsborough, Truro and other areas if you guys think it's a good idea?? More stuff (games or whatever) and better organized activities for after Supper Friday and Saturday would be nice... To make it more fun for children maybe start a scavenger hunt that will keep them busy from the time they get there till the ceremonies when they get a prize for their efforts or something like that (all kids get a lil something in the end!). When it comes to the following years, it makes it a lil' easier for Dad to justify spending $500. on a Jeeping weekend if the kids really wanna go!! Jus some of my thoughts and ideas...more to come I'm sure Cheers! Jeff

All good stuff Jeff - we'll let you know soon on the posters.
It's difficult about the Jam activities. It depends on lot on the volunteers we get, and how long the trails are anticipated to take. It's difficult for evening activities if supper isn't over until after 7 PM. Stay tuned - we'll discuss it.

I suggested in a pm that the registration be worked to allow 1 day attendee's. It would surely increase the #'s. the question i posed was would the extra participants be worth the extra organizational legwork?

When you pay your full amount and get the "package deal" everything is included, if you just show up for the two nights you can charge by the night and increase the price a little bit, "paying for convenience" if you will. I ask myself the question.... Would I have a problem paying a little more per night if I was NOT going to make it for the full three nights??? Hell No, I would rather pay a little more for the two nights than pay the full amount and only stay two nights. If the Jam decides there is only one price and I have to pay the full amount, then I will not be paying anything, and some money is better than no money. People say it's confusing for the food prep etc... Isn't it all pre registration? Get the #'s together, give people bracelets, have them stamped or punched or whatever you want to do, no bracelets, no food, simple. Entertainment??? That is included in your registration costs, and as for a T-Shirt, well, If they don't give me one when I register...because I didn't register for the full weekend then I will go down to the table and simply buy one and if Jam decided they want to charge me a little more than what the others would have been charged in their overall weekend costs, then that's fine too, I have no problem paying a little extra for that either. I know I am new here, and this may or may not be my first Jamboree, I am simply just tossing ideas out there because I am sure I am not the only one that can't make it down on Thursday night and not willing to pay the full amount for arriving on Friday night. Don't beat me up to bad!

Don't beat me up to bad! All good points. Just have to remember that the Jam committee is not an unknown entity, it's a few Jeep Club members volunteering their time and fuel (I think) to make this happen for us. I know they work hard to get the job done, a lot of things have to come together for it to happen. I'm sure if it's reasonable to do they will consider day passes. For most people once they go once they get hooked and find a way to get the 3 days off in the future. Cough, cough, I feel a sick day coming on.....

Jam as a rule is Friday wheeling and Saturday wheeling. Why can the Jam not be Saturday and Sunday wheeling? Have the prizes given out after the trails are done on Sunday evening and head out for home. Or take a vacation day IF you so choose on the Monday and crash for the night^

What we had is working for most, there are only a few that need day passes.

I would prefer it to be a Sat, Sun..
I agree with 2000greentjsport, the economy is getting tough and the Jam is probably the only vacation some people will take, just due to the cost of it. Its not a cheap weekend.
As of right now I am planning on attending, but doing friday and sat wheeling is gonna be hard for me. I am hoping for a 1 day pass, If it was sat, sun, I could probably be able to do both
