Towrig plus hotel accommodations - all in one package... I surf Kijiji looking at that stuff. I figure my camping (once a year) would cost about $8000 a night. (Trade truck, buy camper, put gas in a bigger engine all year because it's a daily driver) Getting desperate to find safe tent heating though. Brr.

2003 Ram 1500. 4.7/4x4/auto/AC are the only options. Rubber floors, roll-up windows, manual locks. Yeah, its basic, but also less shiat to break. Towing. Dragged the CJ-5 on a dolly + 3 complete axle housings and a home-built frame home no problem. Remains to be seen how full trailer + Roach will work out, lol

2004 Dakota Quad cab 4x4, 4.7 V8 65K. I watched the price drop 3K over 3 weeks then bought it. Has normal power options and AC but no cruise, interesting. I wouldn't have bought it if I had noticed, ad said it had it. In the end doesn't really matter, it's the wife's daily driver and she never uses cruise, and I don't use it towing. Brake controller, class 4/5 hitch, trans cooler, limited slip rear. First 8 cyl I've ever owned, power is impressive until you're on a hill with the trailer loaded. Still looking at a fullsize, maybe someday. Trailer is 18 ft on mobile home axles, went halves with my neighbor. Has electric brakes on front axle, breakaway controller although I think the battery is dead. I chain the Jeepster down with grade 70 3/8ths chain front and rear, with two ratchet straps in the back. This trip was to the Support the Troops run, drove thorough a snow storm on the way over through Springfield. I could break all 3 tires loose on the icy road, but I didn't do that very often.

Usually looking at around 10 - 13 MPG towing 6500lb trailer at 70 MPH. Pix also include the community trailer. LOL Hotel accomodations (to borrow a phrase) Leaving the house for Maine Jam 2008 Lunch b4 the border crossing First gas stop in Maine

That's a HOT CJ!!! FAWK! A Q about your Ram. Are the side tubes for a MegaCab; I noticed the third step are. Also did you move your Cummins "C" for the flairs?

JM-the rails are Putco 4" wheel to wheel. They are for the quad cab, I guess the 3rd step is to get over the side of the box. Buddy before me moved the cummins badge. They have to be moved due to the flairs, but I do not like it in that location. I have not got the nerve to move remove it yet as I am worried about how he re-attached it.
