sooo.....do these sites have their own fire pit? From my previous experiences with Fox Mountain, open fires were not permitted in the park any where except the big community fire pit. I thought I would be smart and bring along a small propane fire pit that some use on their decks at home. We were told to put it out and put it away.

Remember Mineville and Tantallon were in fire during the Jam, and there were very high winds.
Sure would be nice to have camp fires, but one is much safer, plus their feild won't be pockmarked with burns when we leave.

I think I will book one too. I better remember tomorrow or they might be all gone! I hate to say it but I booked one tonight, a bus!? Needed sleeping for four and there didn't seem to be too many options trailer related. Some cottages have wood heat, which might be hard to regulate when you only need a little. I'm going to miss being in the field, might even take a tent anyway for the kids to crash in Sat eve. We've been lucky in the tent the last two years with no rain, but it was cold. I already gathered parts to make a propane heater that was ducted into the tent. I got almost no sleep last year, but I still feel like a traitor. I am also the proud owner of a bus for the weekend. Like you I got next to no sleep last year. I guess I am just getting too old.

Bring it out and we will find somewhere to plug it in.
