I'm thinking of making a car trailer or two to put up for sale, just finished a small ATV/Utility trailer(pics in the towrigs and trailer section)I'll be selling for around the $2000-$2500 range. If your not interested in the U-haul one let me know and I can custom build one for you.

Cut half the box off and live in the other half. Even the 14' trucks are cheap, for 6 grand you get a diesel camper, and a trailer. Won't seat 4 though. Wouldn't cost much to make the inside look as good as the Fox mountain bus.

Went in and talked to a guy.
prices are somewhat negotiable. He would entertain a group buy offer.
Parts are avail thru u-haul.....i asked about astronomical markup and he said the stuff sells at their cost. specifically brake masters and rotors are easy to get and don't cost arm/leg.
the rest of the stuff for sale for trailers on the wall was reasonable. lights and trans coolers and stuff.
said they sell a lot of them, they put 'em out front with a sign and they go in days.
i took a couple of pics, but its what you see on their site. need paint and brake parts.

no, not really. $1200 for crappy brakes was tossed out, but it was rough estimate.

Picked up a good shape fully functioning unit today. $1800 incl. tax. Parts are VERY reasonable, and availiable. i went for a slightly higher priced working unit rather than work on it. It was there, just out of tech check. So i got that one for a few hundred more. I'll get some pics in a few. Buddy said they go quick, the stock rotates every week. We negotiated a bit, and he had my # when he called "headquarters" and got it for me. i'm waiting for papers tho. they have a bunch of frigging around to do first. The trailer had only been there a few days.

Looking forward to a build thread on cutting the UHaul Junk off of it.
Id like to see what kind of work it would take to fill in the top to make it a utility trailer.

i've used one of them, not a bad trailer. maybe alot of things i would do different, but for $1800, pretty hard to complain......... just found it would barely hold our f-250HD i brought home with it........ even if it looked like an 2door escort to them...... hehe
for surge brakes, they do work very nice. even better then my electric brakes
