Has anybody solved the problem of making cheap spilt rear bench seat for YJ/TJ other than having your bench cut in half and re-upholstered (http://www.twinseats.com/)?
I'm thinking that there may be a suitable compact car that could donate 50/50 split bench seats that would fit (and match with an appropriate cover). Has anybody done the exercise of roaming the junkyard inspecting rear seats? I was thinking of doing that, for fun, over lunch break, but it snowed this morning and I think I'm going to chicken out of that trip for today.
Comments/Leads?
James
Edit: Oops, this should be in tech.. how do I move it? Edit 2: Moved now, thanks.

So... lets say I
1) found a type of compact car with nice 50/50 seats that would fit and designed a simple bracket or pair of brackets for fitting them to the YJ/TJ that would allow them to split, be removed easily, and maybe even be mounted facing in either direction (front or back)
OR
2) found it was cheaper to chop existing seat in half and reupholster the middle section and then made up a new mounting bracket, as above
would there be a market, either in the maritimes or over the net (donor seat option only), for this type of product? If so, how much would it be worth to people??
I figure, if I'm going to do all the leg work once, for myself, it might be worth making a kit and offering it for sale -- who knows --? Anyway, any comments?
