Hey Jan, Sorry man been busy on an MJ build... Anywho... I'll be working on the writeup once this build is done.. basically we ran Crown Vic 8.8 backing plate, calipers & pads. The backing plate bolts right up... had to machine out the center to clear the bearing from the D44 shaft as well as machine out the center of the rotor to fit the center of the D44 shaft. All in all it was a neat swap ... it has the mechanical emergency drum within the rotor. We're not installing it in the TJ it's going in.. well haven't been asked to quote the install anyways, but we did let the owner know it would be a good idea to remove the stock prop valve and run an adjustable one. I'll have to pics, measurements & prices in the writeup... time is the factor now..LOL...

TIME? There is a TIME issue? What, like Christmas is coming or something?
I'm driving this thing to Cape Breton the second it's done!!!!
TMS: thx for disc info, get some pics up.
I need a new rear d-shaft. That's what my Grannie is getting for xmas. I hope she's limber enough to have a look underneath. Wheelbase stretch got me making new upper coil buckets/bumpstops/and cutting the crap outta the gas tank skid. I kinda had to cut the structural integrety out of it to fit the diff on full stuff.
But I gained like 4" WB. Any zj's out there who can measure stock? (mark the ground at the bottom of the wheels, then measure flat, I don't want yer bogus #'s!)
too busy for pics, must get D-shaft made!!!!!
Havin fun tho ;D ;D

I'm long arming the front of mine prob. by Feb. Drive Products kicks ass!!! brought in my rear shaft, need it 2.75" longer. It will be ready today, and they're even gonna save a new u-joint I put in a few weeks ago to save me a few bucks. got 1 3/8" DOM for front trac bar, gotta bust out the bender tonight. We got a jd2 bender at the house with 3 dies, since Sept., and only got to use it once. TOO BUSY. I smell an big fat ugly zj exo. off to burn out another $20 angle grinder. ("I'd like to exchange this please......it's broken!)

I was thinking about going that route, but could only find the 12 bolt down here. The 44 article I read mentioned a locker, disk brakes etc. It sounded like a good axle for a YJ swap.

Hope it's just the picture angle, but it looks like travel might be limited by the upper CA smacking the crap out of the trac bar and mount??

it's just the pic angle. that's full stuff. The ca actually is sitting centered on the axle, the trac bar is running over the diff cover more than tha axle. the upper trac bar mount is a bit too close to the coil. I had to trim it, I wasn't planning on having to move the upper coil bucket. That's why it got close. diff was hitting gas skid, but got that fixed up.
