Did the YJ ever come with a Ltd. Slip from factory?? Just askin a stupit ? here but whatever.........
Looking to get a bit more traction for the YJ, but dont want to get a "locker" cuz i dont wanna break shit. And im not upgradin to heavier axles for a while if i do at all. Have seen these work wit decent success on TJ's on trial. Just need a "bit" more traction than i have, without breakin too much!!
TIA Justin

They sure did. The 95 I bought had one installed. When the cross shaft came out it trashed the trash loc carrier. Well trashed is harsh. It took a hunk out of it.
Someone has it kicking around. I didn't sell it, I think I gave it away.

What are you looking to spend? I bought a Detroit Trurtrac for my front dana 30 from Xtension and its worked well. It'll give you that extra bit of traction you're lookin for.

I knew it was only a matter of time till Mike mentioned his trutrac . I'm running a full case detroit in a Dana 35 and haven't had any problems running 33s on it.

Yes. My 92 had one.
there is a reason why they were called a trash loc.....
there was more "slip" than "limited".

yeah, I've had I think 4 trac locs now, the only one that I ever really saw work close as it was intended is the one currently in the grand.

You can buy heavier springs and or install another clutch plate. The extra plate is a bitch to get in. I found it acted like having a spool installed. Thats why I went with a spool. That and I'm a cheap bastard I'm happy with my spool in my 44. It's only with low pressure and a hot day it really acts up. On the highway it drives fine. Well as fine as four wheels on slinkys would be to drive
