A friend is building up an XJ and he has 16" x 35" tires already. So, he is looking for cheap rims to mount these tires on his rig. From what I understand, a ford 5-bolt would fit, but the back spacing would bring the tires in compared to stock rims. Still, there are a lot of variations of ford 5-bolts around... would there be a 16" rim from an F-150 that would be suitable? What about dodge dakota or others... any ideas? My suggestion was to buy new rims from auto parts store and be done with it.

The rims he needs are called five on four and a half like on a Ranger. Those F150 rims are a diff pattern. five on five and a half; like a CJ etc. He should buy new rims as backspacing will be an issue with such a large tire. Good luck though

totally... buy new rims... get the offset you want, and be done with it.
