Yet another damp day...truck no like to start (sometimes) when damp... Had to leave it home today - I'll try WD-40 tomorrow and maybe a run to NAPA for a new cap/rotor, etc. (most likely in my wife's car...oh the humiliation of it all...) God help me, I'm about to venture into new mechanical territory here...LOL If it's an accessory, I've got it covered. ...but actual mechanical work, well, I'm guessing by the time I'm done with the cap, the rear diff will be fragged... FAWK I hate this. The other IE window I have open is AutoTrader - there's an '03 Rubi w/50K's in Ontario for $19,000 - that's looking pretty frigging sweet right now...

I know what you are saying is tounge in cheek, but jeez, maybe you are the type of fella who should be in a Rubi.
If little tiny things like a dist. cap give you fits, yer 14? year old jeep will be busted too much to keep you happy.

I know what you are saying is tounge in cheek, but jeez, maybe you are the type of fella who should be in a Rubi. If little tiny things like a dist. cap give you fits, yer 14? year old jeep will be busted too much to keep you happy. I take complete offence to this, anyone who knows me and my Jeep knows it's 16 years old...LOL I'd love to be in a Rubi - my bank account prefers me in my MJ...LOL Seriously, this is just the crap you deal with buying used, 16 year old stuff - bound to happen, but hey, still frustrating when all I wanted to do was drive to work. I often wonder if my truck thinks during the night *sounds like Golum from LOTR* - I wonder what I can do tonight to upset Master. Precious must break! Master must NOT drive precious today...hsssss..." I swear it has a frigging personality...and that's why I love it. Now, if someone offered me $6000 for it, there'd be a flurry of t-case fluid as I pushed it out the driveway...LOL

Duane, it is actually cheeper to buy the cap, wires and rotor button at the dealer. I bought the Mopar Performance wires, really sweet. And they actually fit exactly the same as the original. As for Plug go with the Champion Truck plugs. These are great.
Just my opion.

The only thing I'm worried about here is the fact that Duane owns a gun!!!!!!! ;D Well, I used to own one of these...back in the day...but have since given it up... Colt - King Cobra - 6" Stainless Steel - .357 calibre, but would easily fire .38's as well - the .38's were a ton cheaper to reload, so that's mostly what we used for targets at the gun club. ...and it was a bunch easier on recoil, too... I once saw a guy test one of these bad boys - a Desert Eagle - ...in a .50 calibre gauge...VERY big bang, and for a second, you couldn't breathe... It tore a huge hole in the snow mobile treads lining the back wall (6 of them, with 1" spaces between them) and sent the bullet about 3 inches INTO the angled concrete deflection wall downrange. He was asked to put it away and not bring it back...

I would have never guesses the Duane is a gun afficionado. Have to have a chit-chat sometime. Those Desert Eagles are huge, too big for pratical use. A friend held one, he is 6' 6" 250 lbs and it was way too big for him!

You know it's pointless to shot at a Jeep anyway Duane, the bullet would just come back and kill you! ;D
A few months ago I did some machining on a laser sight mount so it would fit on a custom made competion handgun. Can't remember the size, but it was very similar in looks to the desert eagle.

See new post in general Discussion in cpl minutes......gotta go write it first! J. Read it - crappy. ...and when I get it running, the oil changed, the fuel tank sending unti replaced and the new UCA's mounted...it'll still have a problem, as yet unidentified, in 4WD - weird noises... Amen to that - MASSIVE comes to mind. I think the .50 cal was mainly a show peice for them - way too big to carry, and way limited in mag capacity. Though I'm sure it offered some impressive stopping power...LOL Somehow you know that truck WOULD try something like that... ...and did the gun look something like this... Or more like this...
