The 3 ton jack from princess auto is nice, i got it for $99 on sale. It has the speed lift feature and is quite sturdy. It's alot better than the pos michelin 2 1/2 ton jack that i replaced. The speed lift on that stopped working after a couple months and looks like a toy compared to the 3 ton.

Height, height, height.
I bought a cheap one (Crappy Tire 2 or 2.5t?) and it only reaches 13.5" (or so). I basically need to put a block under it lifting anywhere except the diffs. It is still 100x better than the screw-type I was using before! I'm watching for a good sale and will buy a larger one first chance I get.
Jonathan
EDIT: I should also mention that it was $20.

The one you posted at CT looks short, maybe it's just the pic. Details says it is 25" long..............

If you look at the 'questions and answers' section.. it says it has a 19" max lift. Can't say that is accurate but that is the answer listed..
I believe hawkes meant short... as in height. Not length

I have the 3.5 ton Michelin from Crappy Tire. It lifts to 22 inch high. It is a nice jack. Very Strong and heavy. Wait till it comes on sale. I think it is regular 159.99 and comes on for 99.99

I had 2 of the Michelin ones and they broke ,the one i have now is 3 ton and speedy lift . There are so many different jacks you will surly find people that have had good and bad of the same ones . If i were on the hunt for a new jack it would be no less than 3 ton and defiantly have speedy lift . I went with ctc for warranty .

I do recommend the bigger ones, but I also have a 2 ton that I used a lot and is still useful if you need a 2nd jack. Nice and light to throw in a vehicle vs the bigger ones. I carried it in the TJ a lot.
